Guests were Shannon and Rajin from Coronado Hospital, Glenda: BJ’s Comfort Keeper support, John Cook Eagle Scout, Sally Zoll with Gov Elect Jim Zoll, and Mo…the top 50/50 winner.

First up John Cook presented his Eagle Project proposal: a storage shed at CHS for a cost of just under $500. We presented John with a check for $250.

Sally Zoll presented a touching video and update of the United thru Reading program which is in its 30th year…an amazing program for our military families.

Dave is sponsored by President Carla and inducted by Past President Linda Stanton. Dave is a CHS and SDSU grad as well as participating in our annual SF. Mayor Bailey also made a presentation of a city proclamation for our annual SF Week… this following week it is SF Week in Coronado as declared by the City of Coronado.

Our guest speaker, Imperial Beach Mayor Serge Dedina. Serge was here as the executive director of Wildcoast. WILDCOAST is an international team that conserves coastal and marine ecosystems and wildlife.

Serge and his wife studied whales in Baja California and wrote about those experiences as well as two other books about the sea. With Wildcoast the organization is working with Mexico, Coronado and SD with representatives in Washington, D. C. to resolve the ongoing sewage issues from TJ river.
